How Droodle's Magic Works
Droodle is a magical creativity app for kids aged 4–10 that turns simple doodles into imaginative artworks using safe, child-friendly AI.
Every part of Droodle is designed to make learning to draw fun, intuitive, and completely secure - with no personal data collected and all AI processing deleted instantly.
Exploring Droodle
When your child opens Droodle, they can select from four different areas to explore.
Trace: Opens a library for users to select a template to follow preset outlines to learn shapes and improve hand-eye coordination.
Worlds: Opens grouped templates categorised based on a theme. For example, Ice World has a Penguin, Snowman and Igloo template for the user to complete in Trace Mode.
Draw: Opens a library where the user can select a template to use as inspiration for a freestyle drawing. Each template includes a preset prompt, so regardless of what the user draws on the canvas, the final Magic Creation will depict the selected template.
Levels: Opens a gamified style experience where the user completes a mystery template to unlock the next. Each template is opened within trace mode where the user follows preset outlines.
Each template acts as a creative guide - helping kids understand proportions, shapes, and storytelling through art.
Droodle Creative Modes
At its heart, Droodle helps kids draw, learn, and create through two fun modes:
Trace Mode: Kids follow preset outlines to learn shapes and improve hand-eye coordination
Draw Mode: Kids draw freely using preset templates as inspiration
Each template comes with a preset AI prompt - meaning your child never types text or interacts with input fields. This ensures every generation is 100% age-appropriate and COPPA-compliant.
Select Colours for AI Magic
Once the user has drawn within the canvas, they can select from a child-friendly colour palette to apply colours to the AI Magic. If they select rainbow, the magic creation will feature a rainbow colour theme. If they select pink and purple, the magic creation will feature pinks and purples.
This step encourages self-expression and fine motor development, while keeping the process calm and creative - no stress, no mess.

Apply Magic
Here’s where the fun begins!
Once a drawing is ready, kids tap Apply Magic - and Droodle’s safe AI instantly brings their doodle to life.
The AI follows the exact lines your child drew.
Colours are enhanced based on their selections.
The final artwork looks imaginative yet recognisably theirs — preserving their creativity while adding a magical finish.
This transformation happens securely and privately. The AI never saves or learns from your child’s art - it simply processes it once, then deletes the data immediately.
View and Save Creations
After the magic is applied, kids can view their finished masterpiece and swipe to view their original drawing.
If they love it, they can save it to their Droodle Gallery, stored locally within the app - never in the cloud.
This gallery becomes a digital scrapbook of creativity, safely stored on the child’s own iPad.
