Droodle Is Now on iPhone!
Today, we're excited to share something many parents have been asking for: Droodle is now available on iPhone.
As the creator of Droodle, I’ve always wanted the app to feel accessible, safe, and genuinely helpful for families. Expanding from iPad to iPhone is a big step toward that - not because it’s a flashy new platform, but because it reflects how kids actually use devices day to day.
The Safe Creative App for Kids on iPhone
When I first created Droodle, my goal was to build a gentle, kid-centric introduction to AI - something calm, safe, and imagination-first. Not overstimulating. Not noisy. And definitely not designed around the kinds of mechanics that pull kids in for the wrong reasons.
Launching on iPhone continues that same mission. Many families told me that their children spend more time on an iPhone than an iPad, whether because it’s the device that’s always nearby or because it’s a hand-me-down that’s become the child’s “main device.” Expanding Droodle to iPhone simply reflects how families actually use technology in everyday life.
Creativity shouldn’t depend on having access to the biggest screen in the house. Now it doesn’t.
Designed for Smaller Screens Without Losing Simplicity
Adapting an app originally built for a large iPad canvas to a much smaller iPhone display required rethinking every part of the experience. Kids interact differently on small screens - their thumbs land in different places, their attention shifts more quickly, and they need more visual clarity.
So the iPhone version isn’t just a scaled-down replica. It’s been reworked so everything feels spacious, easy to navigate, and comfortable for small hands. The layout, buttons, menus, and creative flow were all re-designed to feel as simple and intuitive as possible, while still maintaining the calm, friendly look that makes Droodle feel safe and familiar.
The Same Creative Experience Kids Already Love
Even though the screen is smaller, the creative experience remains the same. Kids can explore all the worlds, unlock new levels, and choose from the full library of guided templates - the very same ones they use on iPad. They can also customise characters, complete challenges, and follow the same progression system they’re already familiar with.
Nothing has been stripped back or simplified for the iPhone version. It’s the full Droodle experience, just in a format that fits a pocket.
Privacy and Safety at the Core
A big part of Droodle’s identity is how it treats privacy: respectfully and with intention. The iPhone version upholds the same standards as the iPad version - no personal data collection, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind. It’s fully COPPA-compliant and built so that children can create freely, without anything happening in the background that parents need to worry about.
I’m proud that Droodle remains an app where kids’ creativity is the only focus.
A Seamless Experience Across iPhone and iPad
Families often switch between devices throughout the day, and I wanted Droodle to feel as flexible as possible while still staying fully COPPA-compliant. Because Droodle doesn’t use accounts or collect personal data, progress remains stored locally on each device.
However, your token balance can move between devices when a subscription is synced through your Apple ID. This keeps things simple for families who manage purchases across multiple devices, without introducing logins or any form of tracking.
Levels, worlds, and completed templates stay on the device they were created on - a deliberate choice to maintain privacy while keeping the experience lightweight and child-safe. But your subscription and tokens remain available no matter which Apple device a child is using.
Why This Launch Matters
Droodle began as a simple belief: that kids deserve a safe, magical space to explore creativity - especially in a world where so much technology is loud, fast, and designed for endless consumption.
Bringing Droodle to iPhone means more kids can access that space. It means creativity can happen in waiting rooms, on car rides, at cafés, or curled up on the couch. It means more families can use Droodle with the device they already have, without needing special hardware or a separate setup.
This launch makes Droodle feel even more like a natural part of kids’ everyday creative lives.
